Eleven Foreigners Embrace Islam [Archives:2000/25/Local News]

Eleven foreigners have so far embraced Islam in our country during the first half of this year, one of whom was the British ambassador’s wife who has named herself ‘Huda’.
According to a source from the Ministry of Endowment these were doctors, businessmen, diplomats, etc.
Reasons behind embracing Islam were said to be those of the simplicity and high virtues of Yemeni people.
The new Muslims are of different nationalities such as American, British, German, Ukrainean, Sri Lankan, Filipino and Ethiopian.
