Emigrants Hearings to Start on 10th [Archives:1999/14/Local News]

The Consultative Council, in collaboration with the Ministry for Emigrants’ Affairs, is going to hold a 3-day hearing on Yemen’s diaspora. The formal title is “Emigrants Are the Main Force for Yemen’s Development”.
There are four major panels, as follows:
– History of Population Flows;
– Economics and Investments;
– Media, Cultural and Sociology;
– Board for Emigrants Affairs.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Bishari, Minister of Emigrants Affairs and Chairman of the Preparatory Committee, indicated that over 40 papers and studies will be presented.
