Empowerment of Women in a Seminar [Archives:1999/32/Local News]

Under the auspices of the Minister of Planning and Development, Mr. Ahmad Mohammed Sofan, a seminar on “Empowering Women to Conduct their own Private Business” with the theme of planning and managing small enterprises is projected to be held 7-11 August. The workshop aims to familiarize women with small development projects and the discuss the obstacles faced by these projects in Yemen, utilizing from the experience of Lebanon and Palestine. Resenting various local and international organizations and other concerned research centers, over 60 women will take part in the seminar where various papers will be highlighted.
