End of 16th week of Excellent-League Football Tournament:- Wahda on top and Ahli of Sanaa is in second position [Archives:1998/11/Sports]

At the inaugurating match which too place last Thursday, Shaab of Ibb managed to defeat Zuhra of Sanaa 1-nil. The match took place in Al-Kebsi stadium in Ibb. With this victory, the Shaab’s credit rose to 31 points and Zuhra has kept its credit at 20 points.
Ahli of Sanaa has defeated Tilal of Aden 3-1. The beginning of the match witnessed caution but when Tilal scored its goal during the first half, Ahli of Sanaa called up its strength in order to win the match. The credit of Ahli Sanaa is 36 points and that of Tilal is 21 points.
Wahda of Sana’a has defeated Shamsan of Aden 2-1. Thus, Wahda raised its credit to 37 points while Shamsan remains at the bottom with 7 points.
In Taiz, Shaab of Mukalla managed to defeat Tali’a of Taiz 3-2. In Hodeida, Sho’la of Aden defeated Ahli of Hodeidah 1-nil.
Therefore, it is clear that Wahda of Sanaa is on top with 37 points, Ahli is at the second place and Shab of Ibb is at the third place with 31 points. Will these results remain as they are or will not? Let us wait and see.
