Explosives trade to be banned in Yemen [Archives:2002/20/Local News]

Dealing in explosives in Yemen is to be totally banned by the Yemens government according to the official weekly newspaper 26 September, voice of Yemens armed forces.
The paper maintains that all shops dealings with explosives will be closed across the country.
The 26 Septembers news story appeared May 9 revealed that the governorates governors should actively participate in tracking down the elements wanted by the security.
The story also disclosed that there will be a couple of security precautions including inspecting for illegal car plates as well as activating the frontiers guards role.
Ten fully equipped patrol cars as well as other financial aids will be allocated for each governorate, the paper added, indicating that the governors are now obliged to directly report to the president, on a monthly basis, on the security related issues.
