The total value of the exported fruits and vegetables from Yemen reached last year more than $100 million, which is a clear indication of self-sufficiency of locally produced fruits and vegetables in the make of importing fruits and vegetables worth more than $400 million. It is worth mentioning that this productivity level has been achieved with the help of the World Food Organization and the governments strategies to secure food resources and increase crop productivity.
