False investors in Aden [Archives:2003/642/Local News]

Sources in Aden City said Saturday leadership of the governorate is going ahead in implementing president Ali Abduallah Saleh directives on withdrawing plots of land from investors who had received from the state but have not so far built projects on them.
The sources confirmed there would be no lenient stance on that as a specific span of time as given to those investors to carry out their projects otherwise the pieces of land were to be withdrawn from them in service of public interest and for the purpose of developing the movement of investment in the governorate.
Initial estimates puts the number of investment sites that are not yet implemented at 20. Work on projects at those sites did not begin till now despite the elapse of a decade since investors got the pieces of land.
Dr. Yahya al-Shuaibi, Aden governor, has recently stressed the seriousness of these steps and giving 3 months grace period to the investors to start their projects or the pieces of land would be withdrawn from them.
