Taiz, Oct. 25- Held by the Al-Saeed Foundation for Sciences & Culture, a worthwhile religious lecture was given by a prominent Islamic cleric, Shiekh. Mohammed Bin Yahya Abdulmuati al-Junaid on October 23.
Shiekh al-Junaid shed a light on the great significance of fasting, (Soum) and its active role in standing victorious against one's selves. “Attaining piety is the ultimate and utmost aim behind fasting of Ramadhan,” Shiekh al-Junaid said.
“Hearts are bleeding for what has been befallen on this nation. Today, we gather together for addressing ourselves as Arabs, “O you who believe (in the oneness of Allah-Islamic Monotheism)!” with the aim of purging our selves and attaining the celestial piety and then the acceptance of His supplication which might rescue us from this condition” the Shiekh further noted.
At the end of the lecture, a number of fasting-related inquiries were made by large attendees.
