First Children Conference held [Archives:2001/23/Local News]

Under the motto “Say Yes for Children” the first National Childhood Conference was held for the first time on Wednesday to pave the way for Yemen’s participation in the UN special session for children.
The opening session was attended by the PM. A number of speeches were presented pertaining to children’s issues. Following the opening session a number of papers were discussed focusing on children needs and the role civil society organizations can play to improve their conditions.
Children have expressed different views and comments which will be published next issue.
