First Regional Forum of Rasael Al-Noor [Archives:2001/03/Local News]
Under the patronage of Judge. Ahmad Abdullah al-Hajri, Taiz governor, al-Saeed Establishment for Sciences and Culture, Taiz, hosted last Thursday 11.1.2001 the First Regional Forum for Rasael al-Noor, a collection of nine books. Imam Saeed al-Noori is considered to be one of the most outstanding scholars of the 20th century. In his books he dealt with enormous campaigns set forth by many European philosophers. Dedicating his life for science and knowledge, he stood against communism through his letters that he wrote to refute all the hearsay launched against the Islamic authority in Turkey.
The forum was considered to be the first of its kind in the Arab peninsula. Guests from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Japan from different countries attended this forum. Mr. Ahmad Hayel Saeed has delivered a welcoming speech and highlighting the establishments role in adopting important cultural issues.
