SANA'A, April 12 ) A speeding Cressida caused an accident on Al-Zubairy Street Monday, April 3, totaling four cars.

Two cars were destroyed completely, in addition to an electrical post.

The accident knocked out electricity in an adjacent residential area for a quarter of an hour.

Eyewitnesses said the speeding Cressida's driver lost control of his car due to high speeds while chasing another car. The high speed resulted in a collision with another stopped car.

Nabil Al-Jumai, a car owner stopped at the accident scene, said the accident was frightful, adding that it would have caused greater damage had it not been so late at night. He noted that the accident occurred at 2:45 a.m., adding that high speed was the reason for it, although the speeding car's driver was unhurt.

The speeding driver was arrested and will be referred to traffic prosecution. The case is pending at traffic prosecution – famed for lengthy cases – and the matter remains unsettled, despite the fact that the case is quite clear.
