German Grants Al-Wasitah a Water Supply Project [Archives:2000/27/Local News]

On June 26, 2000, an agreement to implement a water supply project in Al-Wasitah, Mahweet was signed between the German Embassy and the representative of Al-Wasitah Water Committee. The project comprises approximately 4 km of secondary pipes and a will.
The result of this, the water distribution network will supply an additional 11,000 people with drinking water. Worth noting that the installation works will be carried out on a voluntary basis by the local community in close cooperation and under technical surveillance of experts of Al-Wasitah water supply project.
