Girl Abducted in Taiz [Archives:2001/42/Local News]

The Security bodies in Taiz arrested Ameen Hassan Saif, accused of committing several crimes including abduction of the 4-year old Amal Abdulsalam Al-Nehari.
The girl was kidnapped while playing in front of her house and was taken to a remote place in the city where she was brutally tortured.
The kidnapper tried to convince her that he was her father, and sometimes forced her to call him Dad. He was arrested while visiting a friend who, seeing the bruises on little girl’s face, immediately reported to the police.
Security sources said the accused was aberrant and drunken and had been previously convicted on many charges such as theft. Investigations are still underway to find out the motive behind this act.
