Girls finish chess tourney [Archives:2003/688/Local News]
Organized by the National Cultural Center for Youths, the Nana Chess Championship for Girls concluded its sport activities in Hodiedah.
During the final ceremony, Abdullah Abdula'elah Sallam, the Manager of the National Cultural Center indicated the center has been seeking to form sport teams in the governorates, particularly, young girls.
“The center has been desiring to polish the girls' talents as well as qualify their intellectual and physical capabilities,” Sallam said.
Abduraheem Radman, the General Manager of Nana Company, (Nana) and Amat Arrahman Assafani noted it's important that special attention be given to girls through such games.
Radman showed his keen interest of continuous support of his company for the championship as well as other activities.
During the closing ceremony, certificates were distributed to the top winners and participants.
The top winner was Ekhlas Qeta'ee, the second was Ezhar Mohammed Ali, and the third place winner is Yasemeen al-Ahdal.
The chess game was run by Bushra Qeta'ee.
