Golden Oasis:  Where warmth exceeds expectations [Archives:2002/07/Last Page]

Recollecting the innumerable compliments I had come across about the Golden Oasis of the Taj Sheba Hotel, it did not take me a long time to decide where to go in that chilly evening of January.
There I experienced what true warmth and hospitality is all about. Subtle décor had been enhanced with exquisite selection of Crystal glasses and silver, sparkling by the dimly lit candles on tables. Aesthetical lay out created an ambience with royalty which matched the importance of the evening for us.
Insalata Piccante Di Calamari (Spicy calamari salad with saffron vinaigrette), the starter we ordered set the evening rolling. The Zuppa Di Fagioli Verdura (Beans and vegetable soup) tasted better than what it tastes in Italy. The main course of Lobster with Orange Sauce, was simply out of this world. After a sumptuous main course, Inacio again took the onus and recommended tongue tingling Mousse au Chocolate aux Noisettes (Chocolate mousse with hazelnuts).
Mr. Sushil Tandon (Food & Beverage Manager) left nothing to chance and ensured this was the best dining experience we had so far with professional, efficient and yet very friendly service.
While we enjoyed our dinner, The Street Sound Band treated us to some vintage fair of Country Classics & Romantic Melodies. They had heavy metal and rock in the offing for those who wanted to stay late in the night to revive nostalgic memories. It would be unfair to mention that The Street Sounds are a musical band in my opinion they are perfect entertainers and singing is one of their facets.
I gathered while discussing with Sushil that something extravagant is under cover at Golden Oasis for Valentines but he refused to divulge more details.
