GWCC starts human rights development program [Archives:2003/694/Local News]

The Girls World Communication Center (GWCC) begins its Skills Development Program for activist females in the field of human rights on the 13th of December 2003. The one-year program is supported by National Endowment Democracy and the UNIFEM organizations. The program involves a number of workshops on human rights to be presented by Prof. M. Abdulmalek Almutawakel, a lecturer at Sana'a University, Prof. Shawki Alkadhi a member of parliament and Mr. Elizaldeen Alasbahi the Director of Human Rights Information and Training Center.
The program also includes courses in English language, computer kills, Internet in addition to communication and networking skills with international and regional organizations concerned with human rights in order to be able to exchange expertise. The aim of this program is to highlight issues related to human rights through training 40 female interested and active in the field of human rights to enhance their capacity in their place of work.
