Under the theme “Adequate Settlement for All”, the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Urban Planning, celebrates today, Monday, October 6th, a Habitat II gathering. The event, which sheds light on the condition of settlements in Yemen, coincides with the Arab Day for Housing and the International Habitat Day.  The Minister, Eng. Abdullah Hussain Al-Daffee, plans to call on all sides to support Yemeni settlements and dwellings.

Call for Child-Related Investments The Ministry of Social Affairs and the National Council for Mother and Child Care organized a seminar on Saturday, October 4th. “The basic objective is to direct the attention of the business community to the lucrative possibilities in investing in projects which meet the needs of children,” said Ali Saleh Abdullah, Deputy Minister. A paper presented at the seminar indicated that the country imports almost US$ 2 billion worth of goods related to children. “It is a big market,” the Deputy Minister added.
