Hayel Saeed Prizes announced [Archives:2002/16/Local News]

A medical doctor and a playwright have been honored with prizes given recently through the Asaeed Foundation for Sciences and Culture.
The foundation announced Yemeni researcher, Dr. Abdu alkareem Shiban and Mohammed Abdulla Hassan as winners of the Hayel Saeed Ana’am Prize.
Abdu alkareem Shiban won for his research titled “Kidney failure in Yemen” and Hassan won for his play Arch of Triumph, Saif Bin Dhy Yazen.
The awards were announced April 8 at a press conference held at the Mercure Hotel, by Faisal Abdu Saeed, general manager of the Asaeed Foundation.
Awards in four other areas were not given this year, due to lack of qualified entries.
