Heavy Sentences Against 25 Highwaymen [Archives:2001/47/Front Page]

The penal court of Sana’a passed a sentence against 25 persons accused of murder and other organized crimes. Sources at the court said these highwaymen committed several crimes, the last one being the murder and robbery of a person one year ago.
They were sentenced to death. The fourth was tried in absentia, as he is still at large. Two others were sentenced to the amputation of their hands. Mohammed Ahmed Saleh was sentenced to 10 years at Mabkhut Dosan and Daeed Jardan. The other 15 persons who are still at large were each sentenced to four years in prison.
