High Institutes’ Teachers on Strike [Archives:2000/06/Local News]

Teaching staff at Taiz, Sanaa, Amran and Ibb High Institutes for Teachers Training sent a letter to the Minister of Education in which they asked for the same privileges enjoyed by teaching staff at the Faculty of Education and Junior Institutes. They also asked for implementation of articles (7) and (410) for 1999 concerning the standing orders of institutes and system of wages which have not been implemented so far. In their letter, teachers also said that they would go on striking until their demands were met.
