ADEN The British Ambassador, Francis Guy paid a visit to al-Towahi clock site located at Gasar Mountain. The clock is one of the largest clocks in the world, after the Big Ben clock in Britain. It dates to 1890, during the British occupation to Aden City. Preparations are underway to repair the clock in Britain.
About 28,000 pounds was allocated to repair the clock but the concerned bodies didn’t take care of the tender. The clock is going to be repaired during the coming three months, which coincides with the fiftieth anniversary of the Elizabeth’s rule in Britain.
