Human Rights Violations in Mareb [Archives:1998/41/Local News]

In a letter to the President, the Human Rights Organizations Coordination Committee (HROCC) of Mareb claimed that a campaign of arbitrary arrests was carried out by security forces. “On Wednesday, October 7th alone, 25 people were illegally detained,” said the letter. The HROCC asked the President to intervene to release the detainees or refer them to court.
