Yemeni researcher, Marwan Ahmed Dhamarin, got the masters degree with excellent grade from the Electrical Engineering Institute in Japan for his thesis on “upgrading silicon chips and solar units made from magnetic melting.” The study aims at manufacturing cost-effective solar units.

Mr. Hussain Dhaifalah al-Awadhi, minister of information left April 4 for Paris for discussing bilateral cooperation between Yemen and France in the field of media. Ahmed Tahir al-Shi’ani, director general of the Public Radio & Television Corp. was also among the top delegation accompanying al-Awadhi.

Yemeni Journalist Syndicate president left for Beirut April 4 to take part at the meetings of the Arab Journalists Federation which will discuss press freedom in the Arab world and the current situation in the Middle East.

Two hundred free scholarships were granted to the sons and daughters of the martyred Palestinians by the Yemen Supreme University Council during its meetings on April 10.

A production sharing agreement at block No. 52 in Hadramaut was signed on April 10 at the Ministry of Oil and Minerals between the Yemen Investment Company and Petronas of Malaysia.
