Gas reserves increase to 16 trillion cubic feet
The natural liquefied gas reserves have increased to 16 trillion cubic units, according to economical statistics.
The volume reached 14 trillion cubic units two years ago. But, exporting the liquefied gas according to the contracts signed between the Total French Company and other international companies is still crippled. Oil exports on the other hand have reached 475 barrels a day from seven oil producing sectors.

Banks Law amended
Some articles related to the Banks Law have been amended by the financial committee at the Parliament within the framework of bridging the gap of Law 38, 1998.
These amendments are related to speculations between the interests of the Central Bank of Yemen and some interests of banks of board directors, institutions and companies. Amendments are to deal with problems and facilitate investment, savings and trade activities in front of the Central Bank of Yemen.

A sanctuary in Belgaf
The first phase of Belgaf project to declare this region as a bird and wildlife sanctuary is approved.
Studies and field surveys have been conducted in the field of sea animals, remote sensing and fish wealth as well as reviewing the geographical information system to protect the biodiversity of the region.
