Indian Embassy SchoolWorkshop on teaching English wraps up [Archives:2003/635/Community]

Indian Embassy School & Cultural Center, Sana'a, organized a 4 day workshop on 'Teaching English' for its English teachers. Prof. R.K.Jayaraman, Faculty of Education, Sana'a University, was the resource person and 8 teachers participated. The workshop focused specifically on Communicative Language Teaching and organized tasks around the concepts of learner characteristics, information gap and transfer, and production of supplementary teaching materials along the lines of the communicative approach. Valedictory function of the workshop took place on 29 April 03, with Mr. O.P.Bajaj, the Ag. Chairman of IESS as the Guest of Honor.
