International Oil and Gas Conference kicks off today [Archives:2002/26/Front Page]

Under the auspices of President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the Second Yemeni Oil and Gas Conference will start in Sanaa today, Monday June 24, 2002. The conference, which is organized by the Ministry of Oil and Minerals, will last for two days.
Being the largest conference of its kind to ever be held in Yemen, this event is expected to hold important sessions looking at investment in the oil and gas sector in Yemen and the world.
The Minister of Oil and Gas, Dr. Rasheed Ba Rabba had indicated the significant role the conference will play to promote investment in Yemen. More than 300 persons from Yemen, the region, and the world will participate in the activities of the conference to get an insight on the potential of investment in the field of gas and oil in the Republic of Yemen. he said.
