Internet for Journalists workshop concluded [Archives:2002/07/Local News]

The Information Resource Center (IRC), US Embassy, held a three-day workshop titled Internet for Journalists on 4 February, 2002. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Helmi Noman, IRC Director, and Miss Dalia Al-Dali, IRC Assistant. Eleven journalists with various Newspapers/agencies attended the workshop. Mr. Noman demonstrated how the internet could be a useful source of information for journalists, and how to get specific information on the internet.
On the last day a debate was raised about the future of the conventional press and the internet publishing.
Its worth mentioning that the IRC regularly organizes many similar events for journalists and other sectors. Certificates of completion were given to the participants at the end of the workshop
