Japan Supports Family Care Activities [Archives:2001/44/Local News]
The government of Japan has extended to the Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA) a financial grant amounting up to US $36,000 (approximately 6,200,000 YR) to obtain emergency vehicles in order to introduce mobile emergency delivery services in Sana’a.
That project was implemented under the scheme called the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects that targets small-scale, community-based projects in basic human needs fields, such as primary health care, primary education, poverty relief and public welfare.
The handing over ceremony of the project took place last Saturday at the YFCA head office in Sana’a in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Abdul Naser Al-Munibari, Minister of Public Health & Population, Mr. Ahmed Al-Kohlani, Mayer of Sana’a, Mr. Ali Al-Thawr, YFCA Chairman, and His Excellency Mr. Masamitsu Oki, Ambassador of Japan to Yemen.
