Japanese cultural activities in Sana’a [Archives:2004/741/Community]

The Japanese embassy has scheduled many cultural and social activities to be held in Sana'a during the period between July and December of this year to mark “Sana'a, the Arab Cultural Capital 2004”.
According to the embassy, the events will aim at making Yemenis more familiar with the cultures and traditions of Japanese society. A number of artists and individuals will be coming from Japan to launch activities including presentations of Japanese films, dances, sculptures, manuscripts and dress.
The activities will also focus on promoting Yemen-Japan cultural dialogue and presenting a positive image of Yemen-Japanese friendship.
