Journalists demand release for Mohsen [Archives:2002/25/Local News]

Yemeni journalists staged a sit-in before the Ministry of Human Rights Ministry last Monday in a protest against the arrest of Abduraheem Mohsen, a journalist with the al-Thowri newspaper.
Mohsen was accused of writing articles that harm the unity of the country.
Journalists demanded in a statement for Mohsens immediate release.
Up until now we dont know Mohsens fate, the statement said.
They described Mohsens arrest as a flagrant misuse of law and they expressed their resentment towards his kidnapping.
They also demanded compensation for material and mental costs inflicted upon him. Mohsen is the sole supporter of his daughter, Raheel.
