Kidnapper of Egyptian Embassy employee identified [Archives:2003/670/Local News]

Sana'a, Sept, 20 – Security sources have disclosed that Ali Munassar al-Harethi, from Bani al-Hareth tribe near Mareb governorate is the one who carried out the kidnapping attempt of an employee at the Egyptian Embassy in Sana'a last Tuesday evening.
It has been reported that motives behind the incident were attributed to financial dispute between al-Harethi and Egyptian authorities.
The Egyptian Embassy in Sana'a has lately received threats by unidentified persons accusing some of its employees of taking part in enticing the Yemeni businessman, al-Heelah who had been arrested in Egypt and planned to be transferred to Guantanamo.
