The annual Lebanese Cultural and Food Festival was inaugurated on Saturday May 17 and will continue for one full week.
The event is organized at the Sheraton Sanaa Hotel in cooperation with the Yemeni Lebanese Fraternity Association and the Embassy of Lebanon to Yemen.
On offer will be entertainment by the Lebanese folklore group, musicians, singers and a dancer. Cuisine prepared by the Master Chef from Lebanon will also be served throughout the event.
The Chairman of the Yemeni Lebanese Fraternity Association, Mr. Yahya Mohamed Abdullah Saleh gave a speech during the opening ceremony, in which he said that, “the continued events such as this cultural and food festival reflect the enhanced cultural, economic, and social relations, which resemble of the developing relations between Lebanon and Yemen.”
On the other hand the Sheraton Hotel also indicated its commitment to such activities. “The festival will be an excellent opportunity to bring Yemeni and Lebanese societies closer as well as showcase the best of the Middle East traditions.” Sheraton Hotel's General Manager Mr. Helmut Plucker said.
