Legislations and Press Freedom in a Seminar [Archives:2000/18/Local News]

On the World Day for Press, Yemen’s journalists union holds on Wednesday May 3, a symposium on freedom of Yemeni press in Yemeni legislations.
A number of politicians and intellectuals would attend the symposium, among whom are the minister of Legal Affairs and Parliament Affairs Abdalla Ahmed Ghanem, Dr Abdul Aziz Al-Makalih, president of Sanaa University, Mr Abdulwahab Al-Ruhani, member of parliament and Dr Mohammed Abdulmalik Al-Mutawakil, Sanaa University professor. A number of lawyers will also take part in the symposium. The symposium is held in coordination with the UN office and the resident representative of the UN Development Program in Sanaa.
