The Media Faculty, Sana’a university rejected a number of projects of Journalism Department’s graduates under the pretax that they were affiliated with political parties.
The dean said that ‘Al-Rased, Al-Wakea and Al-Tajdeed newspapers have been rejected owing to the fact that they were dominated by party and nationalist destinations .
Some professors at the faculty said that the Information Minister issued orders to stop distributing these projects and to withdraw
” Al-Rased” for political reasons .
Many students and journalists considered this as against the law and the freedom of press. They appealed to the institutions concerned to interfere for the sake of accepting these projects.
