Military plane crashed, 2 killed [Archives:2003/630/Local News]

Two persons were killed in a crash of a Yemeni military plane last Wednesday after taking off from al-Anad military base in Lahj government. An official source at the Ministry of Defense said that the two pilots, killed in the accident, were on a training errand.
It said the plane is of L39 model. A military commission was set up to investigate into the reasons of the crash.
Thirty one military personnel had been killed in five of such accidents during the last four years. A military plane was smashed last February while flying over Socotra island and eight were killed and four injured.
