Minerals Discovered in the North-western Regions of Yemen [Archives:2000/19/Local News]

Last Tuesday, May 5, 2000, Mr. Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Ghani, Chairman of the Consultative Council, delivered a speech at the opening of the minerals and rocks symposium in which he urged upon businessmen to invest in this field.
He said that minerals are very abundant in Yemen and investments in this field are very promising, especially that investment law facilitates procedures and supports all businessmen who would want to invest in this sector.
In addition, the Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources assured in his speech that recent studies and mining works proved that the north-western region is very rich with minerals. Finally, he said that these discoveries would contribute positively to the economy of the country.
