Al Afif Cultural Foundation commemorated last Thursday the late Mohammed Ahmad Noaman, the former Vice-Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior. The deceased was murdered in 1974 in Lebanon.
In commemoration, Brigadier Mohammed Ali Al Aqua, gave a lecture focusing on the late Mohammed A. Noaman as a man who fought against racism, mediocrity, and hypocrisy. He said that Noaman was named as {Al Ghwba} as a result of his unrelenting campaign against totalitarianism and that he was a fine orator and statesman who was able to rally many others to his cause. One of his major achievements was to bring about Peace and, subsequently, reconciliation. He is also remembered for introducing modern budgeting practices to government as well as re-ordering Yemens financial resources. He furthermore played an undeniable role in supporting the republican side in the Harad conference.
