More than US$ 6 million for population projects [Archives:2002/24/Local News]

A number of agreements to finance health and population related projects were signed between the Ministry of Planning & Development and the UN Population Fund (UNPF). The financing amounts to US$ 6,943,577.
YJS chairman beaten-up
Yemeni Journalists Syndicate Chairman, Mahbub Ali, was beaten on June 3 by Ahmed al-Dhahbani during a meeting. Al-Dhahbani did this on the grounds that Mahbub refused to employ his son.
After Mahbub refused, al-Dhahbani insulted him and wanted to stab him with his Jambiya.
