Four men were killed and 18 injured in the Imam Al-Hadi Mosque-Yanoor, Bani Jubar Village-Amran, in one of the most horrifying incidents in recent memory. At around 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 10, the young armed tribesman, Jubran Musaid Qassim Ash-shami, opened fire from his kalashinkov machine-gun through the door of the mosque on the worshippers while they were in the rukoo stage of the evening Isha prayer.
Yemen Times has learnt that there were several false reports saying that the number of men killed as a result of the incident is 9. However, as YT journalist visited the area just before publishing the newspaper, it was confirmed that the men killed were only four. YT will continue to follow the case to find the exact number of deaths whenever possible.
