Nasserite Party: End ties with USA [Archives:2002/20/Local News]

The Nasserite Unionist party called in a statement for stopping what it called the military cooperation between Yemen and the United States.
The statement was released by the partys central committee at the conclusion of the partys tenth ordinary round May 6.
The deals made under this agreement are an utter violation of Yemens sovereignty as well as the security of the country, the statement said.
The party also called, through the statement, to immediately stop any form of military cooperation and coordination with the USA.
It also described the governments silence over the acts made by the American Ambassador to Yemen, as a scary indicator of how the government has lost control over the direction of the Yemeni-US relations.
The statement called the government to issue an official warning to the US Ambassador, Edmund Hull, to stop his undiplomatic behaviors in Yemen.
The party also held the governments platform responsible for the current deteriorating situation Yemen is going through.
The party warned of the undeclared attempts to postpone elections which is also coupled with the Supreme Elections Committees irregularities.
The Nasserite Unionist Party, a pan-Arab party, has two seats in the parliament and is also one of leading opposition parties.
