New Department at Aden University Inaugurated [Archives:2001/45/Local News]

Aden University introduced a new department for Social Services. The inaugural ceremony was attended by a number of officials at the university and from UNICEF. In a statement to Yemen Times, Dr. Salleh Basurah, Director of the University, said, “The aim of introducing this department is to institutionalize social work, which is totally nonexistent in scientific terms as well as to meet the government’s demands for social workers.
