New encyclopedia released [Archives:2003/53/Local News]

The first edition of the encyclopedia of Yemen has been recently released. It comprises four volumes featured by lucid explanations an updated materials.
More than 179 Yemeni famous writers have participated in writing and editing the new edition.
Scientific methods have been adopted in order to meet the reader’s requirements.
The new edition is an outcome of constant strenuous efforts by the Yemeni writers in general and Mr. Ahmed Jaber Afeef, the Chairman of the al-Afeef Cultural Foundation.
“The new edition of the encyclopedia is not a temporary enterprise or an individual effort, but is an outcome of constant collaborative efforts,” Afeef said.
The new edition is a rich reference for researchers and the interested in Yemen’s history.
