New Indonesian Ambassador to Yemen [Archives:2004/739/Local News]
Mr. Kemas Fachruddin, the newly appointed Indonesian Ambassador to Yemen, presented on 15 May 2004 a copy of his credentials to Mr. Abu Bakr Abdullah Al-Qirbi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Yemen.
H.E. Ambassador Kemas Fachruddin was born in Jambi, South Sumatera, Indonesia, on 7 May 1945. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1976, one year after graduating from the Faculty of Law of the University of Jakarta. He was a participant in the diplomatic course of 1976-1977 and held some positions at the ministry up to Deputy Director of Asia Pacific for Administrative Affairs, and then Assistant Deputy of the Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs.
He was posted abroad to the Indonesian mission in Syria, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Spain and Saudi Arabia respectively. Prior to his appointment as the Indonesian ambassador to the Republic of Yemen, he served as Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
