It now only takes 4 signatures to clear your goods at Sanaa airport, and soon at Aden airport. Starting from December 23rd, a new system is in force. “This is part of the reform program. A new system is applied at all Yemen’s entry points,” Prime Minister Faraj Bin Ghanim said. Mohamed Al-Haboob, Chairman of Customs Authority, said that the new system will succeed only if salaries of personnel are adjusted upwards. Still, Hafez Me’yad, General Manager of Sanaa International Airport’s Customs Office, said he was happy with the new system.
