NVIT center in Aden opened [Archives:2004/702/Local News]

Mr Abdulkareem Shaif, deputy governor of Aden on January 10 opened the center of New Vision for Information Technology. The opening ceremony was attended by Dr Abdulhadi al-Hamadani, advisor to president of the republic, the deputy head of presidency office in Aden and Dr Abdulkareem Rasie president of Aden University.
The center consists of several departments, among which departments for computer for theoretical and practical training, consultancy and another for marketing. the deputy governor and his companions had toured the institute and listened to detailed explanation on it and its departments.
At the opening ceremony director general of the institute Baseem Hanbala lectured about the institute and goals behind establishment of the center and tasks as well as what it would contribute to create a qualitative transfer in information technology through the studies it was to prepare on information technology. In his lecture he had also presented the center's vision and the study for rendering the city of Aden into an electronic city and government, employing for that information technology. Attendants at the ceremony had expressed appreciation and admiration for the building of the center that would be expected to offer a new vision on information technology.
