Oman Celebrates National Day [Archives:2001/47/Front Page]

The Sultanate of Oman marked on November 18, 2001, the 31st anniversary of its independence. Oman has made great strides since Sultan Qabus Bin Saeed assumed power, as Oman has been able to achieve remarkable progress within just a short span of time.
The Sultanate of Oman gained international recognition due to the wise policies adopted by Sultan Qabus regarding the different international issues. Moreover, the Oman national economy has been able to adopt with the different international economic variables as Oman has adopted an ambitious plan that extends up to the year 2020. Celebration this year has been coupled with celebrating environment owing to the efforts exerted by Oman in this domain. The prize of Sultan Qabus for Environment is just an example of the care rendered by Oman for environment.
