Outrageous violation of freedom of press in Taiz:Security attack al-Dakak [Archives:2003/655/Local News]

Taiz, July 29 – Security members attacked last Tuesday at the Taiz Security Administration Station Salaheddeen al-Dakak, a writer and journalist working for the Taiz-based al-Thakafia newspaper.
Salah was attacked -following the release of his brother- in front of officials working at the security administration station. He was not allowed to write any report about this incident in his government-controlled newspaper.
Journalists, newspapers correspondents, and other reports, including those of Yemen Times, decided to express their solidarity with Salah at the Taiz-based Human Rights Information and Training Center and to choose a few of them to follow-up his case.
