Oxfam Opens New Health Center [Archives:1998/08/Local News]

The Minister of Construction, Housing, and Urban Planning, the Governor of Sanaa, and the director of the EU Technical Office in Sanaa have inaugurated on Sunday, February 22nd, the new offices of a health center in Sanaa. Established in cooperation with Oxfam, and the EU, the new center will provide free medical care for Ministry of Construction employees. The center will also provide preventative medicine services as well as vocational and social counselling services with emphasis on home visits and follow-up activities within urban settlements.
This project was started in 1986 when a clinic was opened by Oxfam in cooperation with the Ministry of Construction.
