Pakistan School Sana’aPreparations for students’ week in full swing [Archives:2003/627/Community]
The Pakistan School in Sana'a started its pre students' week activities last week.
The students have been grouped into four houses namely Jinnah House, Iqbal House, aL-Zubairi House and Al-Qais House.
The principal of the school, Mr. Khalid Mehmud, inaugurated the pre students' week activities.
While addressing the students, the principal said that after achieving an academic excellence, the institute is looking forward to providing an opportunity for students to enhance their abilities in sports. He stated that curricular and extra curricular activities are indeed an essential part of education. “Such events provide an opportunity to dig out hidden talent of the students.” he said.
The students and the housemasters have enthusiastically started the preparation for the event. The students are showing a great deal of willingness to make the event as enjoyable as possible.
The first event held in this connection was the “Qirat competition”. The real students' week is starting on 29th March 2003.
This is an annual important and colorful event celebrated with zeal and zest. This year, the week comprises sports activities, painting, arts and craft competition, stage shows, a variety program and science exhibition.
At the end of these events, a colorful prize distribution ceremony will be arranged. High-ranking government officials, diplomats, dignitaries and parents will be invited to grace the occasion.
