SANA'A- June 14 – Parliament sources confirmed on Tuesday that the Parliament committee, formed for calming down student's protests against the unfair dismissal of some activists at the Yemeni Students Union from their study, solved the problem and allowed these students to have their exams.

The university witnessed last week a series of demonstrations and sit-ins in protest against the university rector's decisions to dismiss 4 activists from their study in different faculties under the pretext they incite chaos and conflicts while staging demonstrations and other activities at the university.

This week saw many sit-ins and protests, some of which led to confrontations between students and the police who resorted to teargas grenades and explosives to disperse the marchers.
